Founded in 1965, the Alliance Manchester Business School was one of the first two business schools in the UK. The school's two-year program focuses on international business through real-world learning. Students complete a 10-week internship and do three consultancy projects. They must put in at least 600 hours toward their consultancy work. The school changed its name to Alliance Manchester in 2015 following a donation from Lord Alliance.
Manchester drew 88% of its 2018 class from outside of the UK. Students arrived with six years of work experience on average. Manchester has international centers in Miami, Dubai, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Sao Paulo.
